Today I said farewell to some good friends, CJ and Deedre Cousins. I, along with several others helped load the truck full of their belongings. They are leaving to go to Andrews University so he can attend the seminary. He has felt God's leading on his life to head up to the seminary to prepare himself for ministry.
This past Sabbath evening he gave a vespers for the Lakeview church on his life's journey and how God has led him through many points to where he is. It was amazing and uplifting to see the path he has gone to be where he is now.
I will miss these guys. They were one of the first couples they met me at Lakeview and encouraged me in my ministry as I began in Atlanta. They helped me with a wonderful youth program (SWAT). They went on several social events with us to the Hawks game and July 4th celebration. I also worked with CJ as he put together his first evangelistic series "Live With Hope" at Lakeview Church. It was a blessing and he did a wonderful job. We also made several trips to West Georgia University to help a friend as she started A.C.F. (Adventist Christian Fellowship) on their campus.
