Visiting Our Family

Today I was a part of something special. We had a church board meeting. And that was not what was special, even though it was good. But, after the board meeting, an elder and I were going to go visit one of our members who was in the hospital. However, when we were talking about going, several of the others heard and said they would like to go. So, not just 2 of us went, but 8 of us went to the hospital. We walked in to her room and her and her husband were blown away. We talked, laughed, sang her favorite hymn all together, read a few texts, and had prayer. It was a great experience.

It is amazing how a few friends (family) can make a difference to someone else. And that is what it is all about. If we will just go, we will make a difference. How much more meaningful was it when 8 of us showed up instead of just 2?

Thank you Hiram church family for your dedication and commitment to each other.
